Materials: Ivory cotton sateen, pale
gold cotton floss, brass eyelets, cotton twill binding tape.
Condition: One tiny brown spot,
otherwise perfect.
Measurements: B, 28"; W, 19";
H, 29"; Center Front, 15.5"; Center Back, 13.75".
Comments: The photographs were taken
with a reproduction wooden busk and lacing (neither included in sale).
Metal eyelets were first used in the late 1820s. This early corset is a
masterpiece of needlework with wonderful cording throughout.
