Materials: Black wool stockinet, black wool tape.

Provenance: Belonged to Ralph Cooley from Westfield, Massachusetts.

Condition: Excellent. Each knit stocking has 1 or 2 small holes.

Measurements: L, 24.5".

Comments: An early sport stocking, the wool tapes kept these securely on the foot. They were worn with knickers and flexible shoes for bicycling.
