Materials: Cream muslin, ivory cotton pique, silk satin, Dorset buttons, white pleated mesh, cream silk fringed trim; original blue cardboard box, paper labels.

Label: Paper, on box: "Ladies' Fine White Lawn Robe  No. 56  Manufactured by Chappell, Tuttle & Co. Oneida, Madison County, N.Y." Paper label in box: "Should there be any cause of complaint in the packing or the quality of the goods herein contained, you will favor us by returning this card to us, with full description of the goods. Packed by No. 101".

Condition: Shroud is perfect; box dusty and lid is torn.

Measurements: Box: 18.5" x 15" x 2.5".

Comments: Very rare early 20th century garment to be worn by corpse for viewing in casket.
