Materials: Black silk faille with white brocade design, chocolate brown glazed cotton back with steel buckle, six fabric covered buttons, cream muslin lining, black striped cotton facing.

Label: Stamped on steel buckle, "Patent 1855".

Condition: Exterior is perfect; lining has large dark stains.

Measurements: Sh-Sh, 11.5"; Chest, 38"; Front L, 15"; W, 36".

Comments: Gentleman's vest has the chunky style favored during the middle years of the 19th century. There are three front pockets; two on the left side and one on the right.
