Materials: Pewter gray silk taffeta,
cane ribs, stiffened buckram and paper crown, netting.
Condition: Very good. Silk soft and in
very good condition. The outer cane, circling the face, has worn through the
silk in a couple of spots and the silk also showing evidence of wear over the
crown foundation.
Measurements: Opening W, 10 1/2";
H, 11"; Depth, 8".
Comments: Great example of a mid to late
1850's day bonnet.
